Create & edit photo albums

You can create, edit, and add things like maps and text in your photo albums.

You can add together up to 20,000 photos or videos to an album.

Notes:

  • Live albums are not available in all countries.
  • Some features may non be bachelor when you have a large album.

Create a new album

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos appPhotos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Touch and agree a photo, and so select the photos y'all want in your new album.
  4. At the top, tap AddPlus.
  5. Select Anthology.
  6. Optional: Add a title to your new album.
  7. Tap Washed Done.

Create a live anthology

Yous tin can fix an album to automatically add together photos of your friends and family.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos appPhotos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. At the bottom, tap Libraryand thenAlbumsand then New album .
  4. TapSelect people & pets.
  5. On any face up group, tap SelectSelect.
  6. At the top right, tapConfirm.

Add photos

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos appPhotos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Open the album.
  4. At the top left, tap Add together to albumAdd to album.
  5. Select the items you want to add.
  6. At the top right, tapDone.

Add photos automatically

If you cull multiple people, whatever photo containing either person will be automatically added.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos appPhotos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Open an anthology.
  4. At the top right, tap More thanand thenOptionsand then Add.
  5. Select the face groups y'all want automatically added.
    • If no one appears, yous might need to turn on face groups.
  6. At the top right, tapConfirm.

You'll go notified anytime a photo is added to the anthology. To stop getting notifications, turn offNotify me.

Stop calculation photos automatically

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open up the Google Photos appPhotos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Open an album.
  4. At the tiptop right, tap More thanand thenOptions.
  5. Under "Automatically add photos," tap the person's picture.
  6. TapStop.

If you remove someone, new photos of them won't be added. Whatsoever existing photos will stay in the album.

Note: Face-grouping engineering isn't perfect. Photos that don't accept whatever of the selected people may occasionally be added.

Remove photos

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open up the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Open the anthology.
  4. At the top right, tap More and thenEdit anthology.
  5. On items you want to remove, tap Remove Remove. Photos and videos you remove from albums will even so be in your Google Photos library unless y'all delete them from the main "Photos" section.
  6. Tap Done Done.

What you lot tin do if you didn't create the album

  • Only the person who created the album volition exist able to make these changes to it.
  • If you're a collaborator on an album but didn't create it, you can only add photos and videos.
